The sad thing is that I believe people on both political ends will think it refers to the other. Hatch's speech to Quentin regarding his conquered population is as near to grand-standing as Mr. My guess as to this person's identity is more sure now, but we will still have to wait to see. Events are ramping up to a final showdown, but we still have a few volumes to go (at least one not even written yet). This volume also gets us closer to someone we've heard from but haven't known well in precious volumes. Hatch seems to forget that HE is a No-El, the people he plans for his Glows to conquer and dominate. In this volume we finally have people changing allegiances and rebelling, creating a much more complicated and realistic world. Hatch's megalomania is either growing or just becoming more evident. The fight between good and evil is always a winning topic. I don't think I could have wanted my mid-teens to read this, much less the younger ones who are actually the intended audience. The a-social bullying done by the Glows is pretty bad, but feeding people to the rats is more shocking. These could almost be enjoyed by even very young children except for the strong cruelty and violence. Very exciting and captivating but violent
